Step 3 — Service Agreement
My MercyPath Service Agreement.
After we review your intake and accept your case, this Agreement must be reviewed and signed before any work begins or any payment is collected.
Template pending attorney review.
The clauses below are a working template. Before this Agreement is used with paying clients, it must be reviewed and finalized by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction — particularly the scope, release, refund, and unauthorized-practice-of-law provisions.
- 01
Scope of Services (Federal Clemency Only). My MercyPath provides administrative preparation of a federal clemency package for submission to the U.S. Office of the Pardon Attorney. Services include intake, document organization, personal statement editing, support-letter formatting, exhibit assembly, and PDF/print production. My MercyPath does not accept or prepare state clemency, state pardon, or state commutation matters. My MercyPath does not provide legal advice, does not represent me in any legal proceeding, and does not file, submit, or argue my application on my behalf.
- 02
Not a Law Firm. My MercyPath is not a law firm. No attorney-client relationship is created by this Agreement, by payment, or by the exchange of information. If I need legal advice, I will consult a licensed attorney.
- 03
No Guarantee of Outcome. Clemency, commutation, and pardon decisions are made solely by the governing authority. My MercyPath makes no promise, warranty, or guarantee — express or implied — as to whether relief will be granted, the timeline of any decision, or the government's response.
- 04
Completion of Services. My MercyPath's obligations under this Agreement are complete upon delivery of the final prepared package and written submission instructions to me. Any post-submission government process, review, decision, or appeal is outside the scope of this Agreement.
- 05
Payment Terms. The total fee is $2,500, paid in full upfront upon signing this Agreement and before work begins. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. MyMercyPath offers a 30-day money-back guarantee: I may request a full refund within 30 days of my order by contacting support@mymercypath.com, as described in the Refund Policy at /refund.
- 06
Costs Not Included. Government filing fees, record-request fees, printing, mailing, shipping, notary charges, attorney consultations, and any other third-party expenses are my responsibility and are not included in the fee.
- 07
Client Responsibilities. I agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information; to promptly review drafts and materials; to sign my own application; and to make my own decision about whether and when to submit the package.
- 08
Confidentiality. My MercyPath will treat the information I share as confidential and will use it only to prepare my package, except where disclosure is required by law.
- 09
Release. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release My MercyPath, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims arising from the government's decision on my application or from any outcome of submission. This paragraph does not limit any right I may have that cannot be waived by contract under applicable law.
- 10
Governing Law and Disputes. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute arising out of this Agreement will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
